Our work starts at the source, across China’s tea mountains, ancient tea forests, and small family farms. We work closely with tea masters whose craft has been shaped over generations, guided by a deep understanding of season, soil, and time. Each tea is chosen not only for its quality, but for its character, an expression of where it comes from and how it is made.

From rare, small-batch harvests to refined classics, our selection is intentionally restrained. We seek clarity over intensity, balance over excess, and depth that reveals itself slowly, over time.

YIN CHA was born as a response to a faster world. Through tea, we offer a different rhythm, one that allows space to pause, to notice, to return to the present. This philosophy extends beyond the cup into tastings, workshops, and ceremonies that we offered, where tea becomes a medium for mindfulness and reflection.

We see tea not simply as a product, but as a practice, that connects land, maker, and moment. A quiet way of being mindful to life.

Craftsmanship

Every tea leaf has undergone a rigorous journey to reach its final form and unleash its invigorating aroma. It needs careful and outstanding work from a skilled tea maker who can master a diligent and meticulous approach. Most importantly, they will need to share the perseverance and life-long commitment to each individual process: pursuing the taste consistency, enhancing the fragrance, and perfecting the tea texture.

For YIN CHA, craftsmanship is the dedication to the art of tea-making. It is the pursuit of perfection on tea-making techniques, and the ultimate strive to elevate the quality of tea from 99.99% to an impeccable 100%.

We deeply value the craftsmanship of every Chinese tea maker, and we would love to share our carefully selected tea with you. As nature intended, we preserve the tea benefits and high quality craftsmanship by serving our tea in the form of loose tea leaves. Let us savour the unique flavour and quality of each tea, and experience the true essence of our YIN CHA crafts.

Mindfulness

Tracing the root of mindfulness, Buddhist monks who live in the mountains have long used tea growing nearby to encourage their daily practice. For centuries, tea has helped them to stay centred during meditation, and it continues to be served in monasteries and beyond.

At YIN CHA, we truly believe in the power of tea mindfulness that brings focus, clarity and emotional balance to our daily lives. We see the process of tea brewing as a pathway to connect with every inner self and cultivate our minds. Therefore, we combine traditional Kung Fu tea with yoga, meditation and breathing exercises when giving a Chinese tea ceremony.

However, we also find it extremely important for any individuals to enjoy tea in a way that fits their lifestyle the best, and not feel restricted in using a Chinese tea set, tea egg or tea pot. We welcome you to join us to recenter and savour the present moment. Let’s define your unique tea path with our specially selected tea and allow them to bring awareness to a moment of well-being.
