Cold brew tea is a method of making tea by steeping tea leaves in cold water for an extended period, typically starting from at least 4 for a fresh taste to even over 12 hours for a stronger flavour. This technique differs from traditional hot brewing, where tea is steeped in hot water for a short time. High-quality tea can also be brewed for two more times using the same method. Cold brewing offers several unique benefits and characteristics, such as smooth flavour and low caffeine with enhanced sweetness and less acidity.

Add 5 grams of tea to 750 ml of cold water in your Hario cold brew bottle. Close the bottle and place it in the refrigerator to steep for 4–8 hours. For best results, we recommend preparing it in the evening before bed or early morning, so it’s ready to enjoy throughout the day.

Steeping time and tea-to-water ratio may vary depending on the type of tea you use. If you plan to steep for longer periods, consider using a slightly lower amount of tea to avoid over-extraction and bitterness.
