Chinese name: Gu Shu Dian Hóng Dragon Ball 古树滇红龙珠
Gu Shu Red (古树滇红龙珠) is a red tea authentically crafted from 160‑year‑old trees rooted deep in the ancient forests of Lincang, Yunnan. Harvested in the autumn of 2024, these leaves carry the complexity of hundreds of seasons, each one echoing the quiet strength and timeless beauty of the land.
This is red tea at its finest: premium leaves from centuries‑old trees, entirely hand‑processed to preserve the essence of the forest. Every step in its preparation is a skilful ritual, carried out over several days high in the mountains, allowing the character of these ancient trees to fully emerge.
The result is a rich, deep amber infusion, releasing a fragrant bouquet of malt and honey. The first sip reveals a velvety, full‑bodied texture that coats the palate with layers of sweet caramel, baked fruits, and a whisper of spice. Beneath these notes lies a warm, earthy depth, subtly accented by dark chocolate and roasted nuts — a profile both complex and beautifully balanced.
As the tea evolves through multiple infusions, it reveals a softer, silkier sweetness. Unlike standard black teas, Gu Shu Red offers a deep, mellow finish, with an aftertaste that lingers gently on the tongue like a comforting embrace.
