Kunlun Snow Chrysanthemum (Coreopsis tinctoria) is a distinctive herbal infusion traditionally consumed in western China and valued in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) for its cooling nature and balancing properties.
In Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), Snow Chrysanthemum is traditionally associated with Qing Re (清热), Ming Mu (明目), and Chu Fan (除烦), classical concepts that describe clearing excess internal heat, supporting eye comfort, and easing feelings of restlessness. For this reason, it has traditionally been consumed during periods of warmth, dryness, or when seeking a sense of balance and refreshment.
From a phytochemical perspective, Snow Chrysanthemum contains naturally occurring flavonoids, polyphenols, and other bioactive plant compounds that have attracted scientific interest for their antioxidant activity. These compounds help protect cells from oxidative stress and are being studied for their potential role in supporting overall cardiovascular and metabolic health.
Naturally caffeine-free, Snow Chrysanthemum is also appreciated for its soothing character. Its delicate floral aroma, vibrant infusion, and refreshing taste make it a tea well suited for moments of relaxation, reflection, and daily ritual.
Bridging centuries of herbal tradition with modern appreciation for botanical wellness, Kunlun Snow Chrysanthemum Tea remains one of China's most distinctive and intriguing herbal infusions.
