The Art of Chinese Tea — A Summer Journey with Rare Green & Yellow Teas
Step into a quiet summer journey through the refined world of Chinese tea and discover Gong Fu Cha, the traditional Chinese tea ceremony that celebrates mindfulness, craftsmanship, and the beauty of slow appreciation.
This special summer edition is dedicated to rare Chinese green and yellow teas, with a focus on the delicate freshness of the 2026 first harvest . Hosted in the thoughtfully designed tea room at An Chi Amsterdam, the experience is limited to only 8 tea seats, creating an intimate, calm, and highly personal setting.
You will taste six exceptional green and yellow teas, including handmade, rare, and very limited-edition teas, carefully curated by YIN CHA in small quantities. Each tea has been selected to reveal a different expression of origin, seasonality, terroir, and craftsmanship — from fresh spring clarity and soft floral notes to delicate umami, elegant sweetness, silky texture, and a long, lingering finish.
Guided by our tea master, you will gain a deeper understanding of Chinese green and yellow teas: their origins, harvest timing, processing methods, tasting structure, and cultural significance. Together, we will explore how subtle differences in craftsmanship shape aroma, taste, texture, mouthfeel, and aftertaste.
All teas will be brewed in the traditional Gong Fu Cha style, using classic vessels such as porcelain gaiwan and Yixing teapots. Alongside the tasting, you will enjoy a carefully arranged tea table with beautiful serving presentations, designed to bring out the quiet elegance of each tea and create a truly sensory experience.
More than a tasting, this is a rare summer tea journey, an invitation to slow down, gather around the tea table, and experience the fleeting beauty of China’s finest green and yellow teas in an intimate ceremonial setting.
